Shopping for your home can be overwhelming. Is the sofa the right size? Does that rug work with your floors? Is the table worth the price? Will that lamp actually work in the room? And perhaps most importantly—will everything look good together once you get it home?

With our Shop With a Home Décor Expert service, you'll have Room & Detail by your side for a two-hour personal shopping experience, helping you make confident choices for your home while keeping your style, existing furnishings and budget in mind.

Before We Shop

We'll briefly discuss your room, style, budget and what you're hoping to find. We recommend sending photos and basic measurements of the space beforehand so we can shop with a clear purpose.

We'll identify your priorities so you're not simply wandering through stores hoping something works.

During Your 2-Hour Shopping Visit

We'll help you evaluate and select pieces such as:

• Furniture and occasional pieces

• Rugs

• Lighting and lamps

• Artwork and mirrors

• Pillows and throws

• Window-treatment options

• Greenery and florals

• Decorative accessories

• Tabletop décor

• Finishing pieces

We'll consider scale, proportion, color, texture, quality, price and how each purchase relates to what you already own.

Retail, Consignment & One-of-a-Kind Finds

Great design doesn't mean everything has to come from an expensive showroom.

Depending on what you're looking for, we can shop furniture and décor stores, local boutiques, consignment shops, antique/vintage sources and other home retailers.

Your home should look collected—not like everything was purchased from the same showroom. One of the biggest benefits isn't simply helping you find things to buy. It's helping you know what not to buy.

We'll help answer questions like:

Is this the right size?
Does this work with what I already have?
Is it worth the price?
Do I really need it?
Should I keep looking?

Sometimes the smartest recommendation we'll make is: “Don't buy that.”

What's Included

Your $250 service includes up to two consecutive hours of in-person shopping with Room & Detail. You'll receive real-time advice and guidance while selecting pieces for your home.

Purchases, delivery, assembly, installation and transportation of merchandise are additional.

Want More Time?

Additional shopping time can be added at $125/hour, subject to availability.

​

For clients who need extensive sourcing or multiple rooms, we'd recommend a Room Refresh or custom sourcing package instead.
